The Power Of Words

Unexpressed thoughts,
Crossing the mind.
Questioned once,
'Is peace so difficult to find?'

This made the mind realise-
So, it did let the words escape!!
They made their way,
As thoughts in disguise.

Thoughts finally flowed,
Leaving the heart at peace.
Only beautiful moments,
Left for it to sieze!!

This is the power of words;
Either it can make their journey unending,
Or lent the thoughts,
Some peaceful nights.

Inefficient Humans

You troubled me,
I hate you;
But I will pray for you.

You insulted me,
I hate you;
But I have a soft corner in my heart for you.

See that transformer at the end of the road,
Recieving electric current from the electricity board.
But what is a transformer?
Basically it helps in moderating the voltage-
And makes our house more brighter and warmer.
Is a transformer 100% efficient?
No, no machine is 100% efficient;
And transformer is a machine,
But machines are more efficient than humans,
If machine is 40-50% efficient,
What more can you expect from humans?

Hatred, love, anger are emotions,
That form a part of humans.
But humans are inefficient;
Since even there hatred is not sufficient.

There is a hope in the dark phase,
There is a new sun ready to come when the light fades,
And there is a soft corner present when the human hatred portrays,
It is that clever love working,
When you don't realise-
Why you were praying for your enemy?
When you were eager to send someone a good luck,
Whom you considered your bad luck.
When you said that this is my enemy,
But you couldn't harm that person even for a penny.
At all these times it was that soft corner,
Which was activated by your hatred,
And had spread the rumour across-
That this helpless person is my employee,
And I am his boss.
He is under my control,
I am influencing him,
Because he is merely an inefficient human,
But I am a self-sufficient boss.

Living Life To The Fullest

We should always live our life to the fullest. Don't we give such advice to every other person? But, to what extent are we able to achieve it? Our answers to this question are usually indirect. We often tend to blame our situations and circumstances. Lack of time becomes another seemingly genuine excuse.

I was overwhelmed when I realized that I had begun this week on a very happy note by defeating all the above excuses. I don't know what will happen tomorrow but I can proudly say that I lived this day to the fullest. All the beautiful moments have left their imprint on my mind and they are going to stay with me forever. Never ending photo sessions, long walks, silly conversations with a dose of laughter and comedy made my day so amazing that every time I felt the time flying I actually wanted it to stop. I wanted to live each moment again with the same people and with the same carefree attitude.

Today I realized that there's no rocket science behind being happy in life. There is happiness hidden behind all those little things which people tend to neglect. For example; dining with your family, having a heart-to-heart conversation with a family member, listening to a someone carefully, caring for your family etc. I have begun to feel that sometimes just the presence of certain people becomes enough to heal many wounds. There charisma lends you a new found strength and infinite hope to deal with all your problems. It's just the presence that matters, things sort out automatically.

Yes, I missed a lot today. There were a number of things I couldn't complete. There were moments which I couldn't be a part of. But, I will never regret. I am happy with what I got and with the way I lived my life today.

Mental Health - A Stigma To Indian Society

Our mental health cannot be a choice,

It’s important to keep our minds calm in every situation.

Among innumerable problems and difficulties,

It’s important for our minds to stay away from the surrounding noise.

The noise of our society stigmatizing mental health-

Who doesn’t know ‘Health is wealth’?

Who doesn’t know importance of good health?

Still, mentally disabled people of our nation are being disgraced-

Rather they should be embraced,

With a lot of love and care,

Because being mentally disabled,

There are so many difficulties that they have to bear.

Having a good mental health cannot be a choice,

But helping people to recover is our duty.

Only then can our country India rightfully-

Justify the phrase ‘Unity in diversity’.

Mental Workout For A Writer

Irrespective of the places or occasions where rose and lotus are used, they are inseparable from thorns and muddy pond respectively. Irrespective of the height of the tree, it always stands firm to the seed from which it grows.

Similarly, people in general should be strongly connected with their family and old friends irrespective of where they go or what they become.

1:00 a.m. Feelings

Today, you have completed another successful year of your life,

What's constant is your lovely presence in my life,

Yes, I cherish it.

Yes, I value it.

God knows what would have happened to me-

If you weren't there,

In all those times when I was depressed,

If you didn't help me grow with love and care.

May you be the most blessed person alive..!!

Because you are the one,

Who completes my life.

Is Silence Really Silent?

Yesterday, I had a tough schedule. I was awake till three in the morning. My phone wasn't busy rather my mind was busy working on physics. It was all going fine as I could concentrate much more due to the silence around.

And that's when my mind yelled at me, "Excuse me, silence?". I was a bit confused but when I closed my books and spared a few minutes to observe anything and everything I could hear, I realised that silence didn't seem to be silent anymore. The tick tock of the hands of the clock, according to me was the main culprit who was disobeying the phrase 'pin drop silence' at three in the morning. Complementing its efforts beautifully was a bunch of people who were busy talking on the road outside.

That's when a thought struck me. Time is so powerful and unstoppable. But what's more powerful than time is 'silence' or the 'imperfect silence' because be it whatever time in our life or in day silence never seems to be silent. It always emerges victorious against time be it in the form of tick tock of the hands of a clock or the struggle of a million thoughts in our mind.

Hence, we bending before time is totally fair because even time bends before us. After all, it's we humans only who indirectly break the silence. We are the ones who whisper among our colleagues and friends and break the silence of a seemingly silent room.
